What is the 2016 Senior Class Gift Campaign?

The Senior Class Gift Campaign is a giving program designed specifically for graduating seniors. The goal of the campaign is to build class identity, unity, and spirit and to fundraise for an important cause. It offers you the opportunity to leave your mark on the University and give back to UC Irvine in a tangible way.

Past Senior Class Gifts include:

  • Rock Climbing Wall (in Center for Autism & Neurodevelopmental Disorders)
  • Anteater Emblem (at Newkirk Alumni Center)
  • Peter the Anteater (at the Bren Events Center)

How is the Senior Class Gift decided?

A committee of graduating students works in partnership with the campus to identify projects or areas of need that would be of interest to students. The entire population of graduating students votes to decide the final project.

Why should I support the Senior Class Gift?
Senior giving is a legacy started at the opening of the campus in 1965. Countless campus landmarks and scholarship programs have benefited from more than 40 graduating classes leaving a mark. The bronze Anteater in front of the Bren Events Center is a gift from the Class of 1987. Now it’s our turn!

A class gift can be expensive. I can’t give enough to really help, can I?

More than 6,000 of us are planning to graduate, if everyone gave $20.16 (less expensive than a week’s worth of coffee from Starbucks) in honor of our graduation year, we’d raise over $120,000! If you can only spare $10 or $5, participation is the key to our success and any gift, of any size, WILL make a difference!
